OPERATION SQUEEGE - FUN TIME !

We received this awesome pack from *~*HopScotch*~*.

So we ran to the beach near our home to test it.

It's linden water, but tooo funy :)

Starts on July, 01 the Mad as a Hatter Hunt.
The gift needs to be....mad :)
The hunt gift will be a crazy hat, or a crazy pet, maybe a crazy crazy "I don't know why" loool

HUNTS, HUNTS AND MORE HUNTS !

We really love the Grid Hunts, but not to umpack all the gifts.
Now we joined the Winged Key Hunt. This isn't a grid hunt, but a sim hunt.
We are in a Harry Potter themed sim, so what about a change color hat?
The funny part in this hunt is the way the hunters look for the keys, they have to ride brooms:)

~ Operation Squeegee - July 1st to 15th ~

I'm brazilian and i grow up in Rio de Janeiro. When things seems to be very bad, I use to do the same of all Rio de Janeiro citizens, go to a beach and watch the waves. This calmed me down a thousands times.... The waves, the sound, the smell....     
Now I'm an adult. Guess what kind of work i choose? I'm an environmental engineer :)
Last year i asked to a professor about this kind of oil spill accident, but I wasn't really happy with his answer. He said there are a lot of safety barriers to avoid them, but if this kind of accident happens, he really didn't  know how to stop it, but it never happened in Brazil.
Well, it didn't happen in Brazil, but it happened in Mexico Gulf.
Our planet is just one and the Earth doesn't support anymore what we, intelligent humans beings do.
We are devastating our planet, our home to consume more, to have more goodies....what more? Happiness?
Peace? Love? Not at all, these kind of thing we can't buy.
As we can't stop the spill, let's help to clean the sea ! Help the sea life as well. It will take a long time to recover the ocean balance, but we can help.
Let's join the Operation Squeege! It's Second Life helping Real Life.
Funds raised through Operation Squeegee will go to The National Wildlife Federation. Funds that are donated to the federation will support the following efforts:

* Development and deployment of the National Wildlife Federation’s Gulf Coast Surveillance Teams, a volunteer network that is being organized to monitor the coast for wildlife impacted by the oil spill. Beyond the initial surveillance needed, this effort will then shift to long term volunteer restoration programs.

* Restoration of vulnerable nesting and breeding grounds, as well as other delicate ecosystems found throughout the Gulf Coast for water birds, sea turtles and other animals.

* Public education about the oil spill and its impacts on wildlife, including our online efforts at www.nwf.org/oilspill and informing the press and others about the impacts the oil spill is having on coastal communities and wildlife.

* Policy work at the national and state level to support restoration of habitat in the Gulf Coast and better protection of our waters and coastlines.”

We all live in this beautifull blue little planet. We aren't the landowners.
Life needs to continue, to us and all the living beings in the Earth.
