GENERAL INFORMATION:
Sarcoidosis (pronounced SAR-COY-DOE-SIS) is a potentially fatal inflammatory disease that can appear in almost any organ in the body. Although the lungs are affected in more than 90% of patients, the disease often attacks the heart, eyes, central nervous system, liver and kidneys. Once thought rare, sarcoidosis is now known to be common and affects people worldwide. The cause remains unknown and THERE IS NO CURE.

There is alot of information on the internet, only most of it gives you this rose colored glasses view of whats going on with patients who have it.
Sarcoidosis sometimes is not always easily diagnosed.
Most have multiple trips to the ER, sometimes your brushed off, labled as a drug seeker, or seen as a hypocondriack.
A SHORT VIEW FROM SOME GOING THROUGH IT:
I could go this week or I could go a few years from now, who knows. But I can't help but to admit that over the last few months I've secretly wished that God would just take me. And that wish for God to take me grows stronger everyday.
I have "Neuro-Sarcoidosis", the initial problem was that I was losing all feeling from the waist down, took about 3 weeks. They found a Granuloma in my spinal cord .
I never wanted to stop working. I was successful ,Cushy job. good money.... lost my eyesight due to the sarcoid had to quit and go on permanent disability.
I get so tired...no energy that I am afraid to lay down fearing that I wont wake up.....
the spleen is growing - Pressure is tough, Hard to eat, nearly impossible to get a REAL breath, most exercise is a painful joke and I am up and down all night with the pressure to visit the restroom..... I dont know that I can wait for "remission" cuz its not certain that I will be at that point soon or at all - I have Lung & Airway, Spleen & Lymph system involvement, impacts to my Liver and my Heart as well
Both my cardiologist say I have cardiac sarc. I also have sarc in my lungs, spleen, lymph nodes, neuro, feet/ankles, and joints.
i have read everything there is on it so i know the facts but every day it is like another part of my body seems to have a problem
